Born and Raised in Hammarsdale where she did her formal schooling. Completed her MBChB at UKZN in 2015 and did internship at Stanger Hospital for 2 years and Then proceeded for Community Service at Sundumbili Community Health Clinic for 1 year.
Upon completing her Community Service she worked in various Private Hospitals and Surgeries as a Locum Medical Officer including KwaDukuza Private Hospital and Netcare Kingsway Hospital where she was their Emergency Medicine Doctor. Also worked for various Medical Practices as a Locum GP.
She holds a certificate in Advance Life Support and Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association. A certificate from KZN School of Excellence in Medical Male Circumcision. She recently completed her Post Graduate Diploma with The University of Witswatesrand in Occupational Health in 2021. She is currently enrolled with The University of Cape Town in their Public Health School for a Certificate in Palliative Care.
She worked as a Medical Officer in GJ Crookes Hospital from 2019 September to 2021 April, where she gained experience as a Casualty Officer in their Emergency Department and was their Surgery Department Lead MO in the Female Surgical and Orthopedic ward. Her love for Surgery and Emergency Medicine grew from this point onward. She was also involved in Teaching students from The University of Pretoria for their Clinical Associates students and also for University of KwaZulu Natal Final Year Students for their Rural Medicine Rotation.
She joined The University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2021 May as a Research Medical Officer for a Lung Cancer Program (MLCCP) under Cideru. Where she is currently working. She also is an outgoing Executive Member of the UKZN Convocation her Alma Mata where she was their Secretary in The Medical School SRC.
Apart from Academics she is involved with major Community projects and serves as Team Doctor Sunflower Womans Football Club from Hammarsdale which is a NPO that seeks to help young girls in the community through sport and education. She was recently selected to be The Sasol League National Tournament Doctor where she was overseeing the Games and leading the Medical Team as appointed by South African Football Association.
Her future plans are Centred around Community Work, Woman Empowerment and Rural Development.
