Nombali is a young professional who holds a National Diploma in Management and also trained as an HIV and AIDS Counsellor. She has worked as a Research Assistant at UKZN- HEARD. She gained experience working with Sex workers and participants whose livelihoods and lifestyles made them at risk of being affected and infected by HIV and Aids. She also worked as a Fieldwork Supervisor at Project Empower, dealing with Economic issues, HIV and Aids. She currently serves as a Cancer Information Officer at the Multinational Lung Cancer Control Program (MLCCP) doing cancer surveillance work, which is crucial in informing the research conducted by the project. She aspires to further her studies.
