Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Ms Khumalo is a Monitoring, Evaluation and Data Officer in the Multinational Lung Cancer Control Program (MLCCP) under the Cancer and Infectious Diseases Epidemiology Research Unit (CIDERU) at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN). She leads data coordination, development and implementation of an M&E system and oversee routine program monitoring activities. Previously, she was engaged in the environmental programmes under Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, Stakeholder Engagement and Public Awareness directorates at the national Department of Environmental Affairs. She also worked in HIV/AIDS trial as a Data Management Assistant at Adrenergy Research Innovations and worked as an Assistant Assessor in the evaluation of Save the Children community-based projects at the External Quality Assessment and Audit Institute (EQAAI). She has a background in community development projects and has been engaged with various NGOs in rendering community services in the rural areas of KwaZulu-Natal. She holds a BSS Honours in Public Policy, and she is currently enrolled for a Master of Social Policy degree.
